I know what it's like to have your life completely change overnight.
My name is Ruth Olpin
On July 2, 2020, my husband Rex died suddenly of an undiagnosed heart condition. He was 55. We had been married 32 years. I was alone with him when it happened. Nothing about my life was the same after that night — and everything I've built since has come from learning how to live inside that truth.
What I bring to this work
I have a Master's in Counseling Psychology, training in Brainspotting, and five years of studying the neuroscience of grief. But the most important thing I bring is that I've lived this. I know what the first night feels like. I know what the first year costs. And I know that healing is possible — not because someone told me, but because I've done it.
